James Joyce, JD

Mr. Joyce received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of St. Thomas in 1981, received his Master of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Chicago Kent College of Law in 1993.

James M. Joyce concentrates in the areas of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and all aspects of general litigation. He represents individual and business clients in federal district and state courts in Illinois. James has successfully tried cases in a variety of matters including commercial litigation, domestic relations, contract rights, secured transactions and state agency matters. He has represented clients at arbitration proceedings and secured favorable results in many different jurisdictions in Illinois and federal matters.

James has successfully represented clients in state and local municipality matters as well as formal trial settings. He has been responsible for a large caseload and preparation of all motions and discovery related to securing the best for the firm’s clients.
